Casio SA-76 44 Key Mini Keyboard - Review
The Casio SA-76 44 Key Mini Keyboard is perhaps the BEST key board for a beginner!
The Sa76 from Casio may look a bit light on features. Once you dive in you will be amazed at all it offers, and offers at a great price too!
First off, it has a very easy-to-read LCD screen. This shows you the tones, what song you are playing, the tempo, and a very handy metronome. (*that metronome is wonderful to learn by!). The design also shows Casio’s years of experience. Its effortless to swap between the Piano and organ sounds with a touch of a button. In addition, the Keys! The wonderful 44 mini keys (3 and 1/2 octaves) and 5 percussion pads allows for the smaller hands of young players to play comfortably.
Something that is overlooked at times is the weight of the keyboard as well. The Casio SA-76 44 Key Mini Keyboard comes in at a lite 3.9 pounds. Making it easy to move around the home. My 10 year son moves it around with ease!
Inside the LCD control panel, you can adjust pitch to harmonize with older instruments.
Speaking of tone, their is head phone jack in the back as well. This is great so when you or someone else is learning… you can save your ears a bit of pain.
I will say however, that if you are a more experienced pianist… this may not be a good choice for you. I say this as its not a full sized keyboard and it lacks any MIDI features.
If tho you want something a new player would love. Or something that wont take up too much room, then go with the the Casio SA-76 44 Key Mini Keyboard. I have also spoken to some music teachers who say that this is the keyboard of choice for them at their schools.
As a music teacher, the biggest thing I can stress is that learning should be FUN! This keyboard make fun happen for the younger player. I recommend this to anyone looking to inspire someone to get into playing. :)
